Kalvus
Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 23, 2026
Kalvus ("we", "us") is an AI-powered facial analysis app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: your scans exist to produce your analysis and for nothing else — they are never sold, never made public, and never used to train AI models.
1. Data we collect
- Face photos you capture or upload for analysis.
- Account data: your email address and name from Apple or Google sign-in.
- Onboarding answers such as gender and referral code.
- Purchase status (via Apple and RevenueCat) — we never see your payment details.
- Basic usage data needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use your data
- To create your facial analysis and improvement plan.
- To operate your account and subscription.
- To provide support and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your data. We do not publish your photos. We do not use your photos to train AI models.
3. Face photos and face data
This section describes exactly what happens to your face photo when you scan.
- What we collect. The face photo you capture or upload. Kalvus does not create biometric templates, faceprints, or any data used to identify you — the photo is analyzed for aesthetic scoring only.
- AI processing by Google Gemini. To generate your analysis, your photo is transmitted securely (encrypted in transit) from our backend to Google's Gemini API, which returns your scores, written analysis, and the AI "potential" render. Google processes the photo on our behalf to produce these results and, per the Gemini API terms that apply to paid API use, does not use it to train its models. We share your photo with no other third party.
- Consent. The app tells you this before your first scan, and you must explicitly agree before any photo is uploaded.
- Storage. Your scan photo and the generated render are stored privately in your account, in Google Firebase (Cloud Storage), so you can revisit past scans in your Scan History. Access is restricted to your signed-in account; photos are never public and no other user can see them.
- Retention. Your photos and reports are kept for as long as your account exists, so your history works. Deleting your account permanently deletes every photo, render, and report, immediately.
- Operator access. Like any service that stores data for you, our infrastructure administrator (the developer) can technically access stored files. We access them only when strictly required to operate the service, investigate abuse, or answer your support request — never for marketing, never shared, never sold.
4. Storage and retention
Account data, reports, and scan photos are stored with Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage). Your data is retained while your account exists. When you delete your account, your data — including all stored face photos and renders — is permanently deleted.
5. Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Settings → Delete Account & Data. You can also email us at the address below.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Children
Kalvus is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
